The Sound Behind the Music
A little about the journey so far
Felicia Deramus-Paul Felicia -fuh-LEE-see-uh Deramus (Duh-ray-mus)-Paul
Felicia grew up on the stage and in recording studios surrounded by Grand Ole Opry Stars and legends like The Jordanaires which were backup singers for Elvis Presley and worked for 8 years with her mom Judy Deramus. Felicia at age 4 made an appearance in the Robert Duvall movie, "The Apostle". With stars like Robert Duvall, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Bob Thornton, Billy Joe Shavers, and June Carter Cash.
Felicia’s recordings are a mix of Christian Country and Traditional Country music. Felicia had a top 5 hit in Christian Country Music in Cashbox Magazine. In 2009 at age 16, she became the youngest recipient of the International Country Gospel Music "Female Horizon Artist of the Year" award.
Felicia has been in the studios in Nashville, Tennessee where she has completed her album of twelve songs with three songs that she wrote including the title song, Walk A Mile In Love.
Her last three singles, Get Out Of The Boat, One Heart, and Living Stones have reached #1 on the national radio charts of Cashbox, Christian Voice, Cross Country Magazines.
Felicia has been special guest on the Penny Gilley Show that airs on RFD-TV Network and on over 650 cable networks.
Felicia is married to Charles Paul, and together they make their home in Broken Bow, OklahomaBased out of the Pacific Northwest, this is music shaped by late nights, long drives, and a lot of time spent figuring things out. The sound sits somewhere between indie folk and alt-rock, with songs that tend to stick around after the first listen. A new record is in the works, and a run of shows is coming up this fall.
The early years were scrappy in the best way. Small venues, self-recorded demos, and a growing reputation built almost entirely by word of mouth. A few key releases changed the trajectory, earning spots on curated playlists and landing some well-timed support slots that opened things up considerably.
New music is coming soon. In the meantime, check out the latest tracks, grab a ticket to an upcoming show, or sign up to the mailing list to hear things first.
